The Cardinal theme provides several custom shortcodes. When editing a page or post, click on the Help button at the top right of the page to learn about the shortcodes you can use in your pages and posts. The custom shortcodes are:
[headline]...[/headline]Display the enclosed text as a headline.
[lead]...[/lead]Display the enclosed text as a lead paragraph.
[more url="where to link" align="left|center|right"]link anchor text[/more]Display a “See more” link. url is required. If link anchor text is omitted it defaults to “See more”.
[custom_map id="map id" url="map url" height="360"]text for link to full size map[/custom_map]Display a map created using Stanford’s Custom Map Maker. Specify either the (numeric) map id or the url of the map you want to embed. If text for link to full size map is omitted it defaults to “Click for full size map”.
[postcard url="URL of post"]Display a postcard block based on a post. Use the button to insert this shortcode into your text.
[postcard title="Title" img="URL of image" alt="alt text for img"]...[/postcard]Create a custom postcard where you specify the image, title and text to be displayed. Use the button to insert this shortcode, then edit the text within the tag.
[banner]Useful primarily on a static home page.
Display the custom banner image for the site as specified in Appearance > Customize > Header Image.
[posts num="5" type="post" more="More…"]Useful primarily on a static home page.
Display num most recent posts of type type, most recent first. If more is specified, a link to the site’s blog listing will be displayed with the specified text as the anchor text.
